Laura And Almanzo Wilder
Almanzo's Prov:
I went out of the room and in to the Kitchen were Charles, Caroline, James, Albert and Rose were sitting. "Is she OK??" asked Caroline. I said "She's still a little weak. She asked me to get her some water." I got some water and took it to her. "Thanks Manley" She said to me when I gave it to her. I said "How are you feeling?" she smiled and said "100 better." She stood up and grabbed my hand. We went out to the Ingles and Caroline came up to us and gave Laura a hug. Charles said "Are you OK half pint?" She said "Yeah I'm fine Pa. Just forgot what you and Ma always said 'don't run in a dress.' And on top of it I'm pregnant. Manley can we go home now? Jenny?" I smiled and said "Sure." Jenny came in and said "Yeah Aunt Laura?" I said "Jenny can you go and get Uncle Almanzo, Aunt Laura and Rose's Coats Please." I picked up Rose when Jenny came back over to us I put Rose's coat on her then helped Laura with hers then I put mine on. As we left I said "Laura…"
She said "Yeah?" I sighed and said "Are you really OK?" she said "Yes I am fine. Just tired Manley." Jenny said "Uncle Almanzo?" I said "Yeah Jenny?" Jenny said "Are we almost there??" Laura said "Yes Jenny we are and you are going straight to bed when we get home and that's a promise." I smiled and pulled in to our driveway and helped Laura up. When we got in the house Laura took Rose and followed me to Jenny's room. I smiled and said "Good night Jenny." She said "Night Uncle Almanzo and Aunt Laura and Rose." I heard Laura say "Good night Jenny. Sweet dreams." Me and Laura tucked her in and shut the door and went to our room. I smiled as Laura put Rose in her cradle and pull her blankets over her then get into bed. I smiled and got in next to her.
In the Morning Laura's Prov:
I woke up and picked up Rose and then went to check on Jenny. Since she was still asleep I put Rose in the high chair while I cooked breakfast. Jenny came out and said "Morning Aunt Laura" I turned and said "Oh morning Jenny how did you sleep?" She said "I slept well." I smiled and went back to cooking I finished it and served it up when Almanzo came out I smiled and we all enjoyed a nice breakfast. Then I heard a Mama. I turned towards Rose who giggled and then Almanzo said "that a girl Rose." I turned towards him and said "yes Rose you are a good girl. And a Big one too." We all cracked up laughing even Rose. After breakfast I took Jenny to school and went to my ma's restaurant and sat down. 2 minutes later my ma came over and said "Hey Laura. How are you, Jenny, Rose, and Almanzo doing?" I looked up and said "Hey ma we're good Rose said her first word today." She said "really what was it?" I said "Mama. Ma what was my first word?" she sat down and said "your first word was love believe it or not" I laughed. Then Almanzo came in and said "Hey Caroline, Beth." We looked up and I moved over so Almanzo could sit down. "Hey Manley" I said happily. My ma said "Hey Almanzo." He sat and put an arm around me. We order our stuff then I smiled and said "Hey Mom do you, Pa, Albert, and James want to come over for dinner tonight?" she said "Is that OK With you Almanzo?" He smiled and said "Yes it is." I smiled and continued to eat with Almanzo I couldn't love him anymore then I already do. I said "Manley?" he looked at me and said "Yes Beth?" "Who has Rose?" I asked worriedly we NEVER left our 2 year old daughter alone. "She is with your pa. don't worry I would never leave her alone" He answered me in a calming voice.
Almanzo's Prov:
Laura was asking me a stupid question that she should have already known the answer too but that's my wife for you always worrying. I smiled.
