My little spiel on how the ancient Irkens mating process would have worked. I have two theories One being the female would be the one to decide the mate or the male would decide the mate. Also for this ancient irkens have memberous wings.
Female Dom
When a female wishes to mate she will release a special smell called a pheromone from a gland just below her antenna. The male will pick up on this scent and track her from long distances to mate with her. They will get together and if the female doesn't want that particular male she will just fly off. If she does want the male she look over him and climb on top of him, in which his penis will emerge from the slit allowing her to insert it into herself. They will be linked together for around thirty minutes, after they will unlink and the male will leave. The female will then lay her eggs after a month.
Male Dom
Again a female will wish to mate and release pheromones. This is will be detected by the male in which he will come to her. When the male finds her they will almost certain that mating will occur even against the females will. If another male is present they will fight to the death and the winner gets to mate. If the female tries to fly away the male will simply chase her around until she is tired and lands were the male will then mount her and hold her until the mating is done. They again will be linked for thirty minutes and when they unlink the female will leave. The female will lay her eggs in a month.
