He looked into her soft brown eyes lovingly, watching as every tear fell from her eyelashes. The knife Draco had forced in his belly lay beside the bed, it's blade still red with his blood. The blood soaked sheets were crumpled around his body, but he cared nothing for that. Nothing mattered but Ginny. He held her hand as his eyes began to fog over, and he knew his time was near. She knelt down beside his bed and reached out towards him. Softly, they locked lips for the last time. As she gently cradled his head in her arms, he looked at her, his once bright green eyes now dull and empty. He opened his mouth and with the last of his strength whispered to her,

'I love you.'

Then, with one final, shuddering breath, he slipped into death, Ginny tears soaking his cheeks as he lost his fight for life.
