Part 1
Prologue: The Beginning of the End
Once upon a time, in a far away place, three kingdoms existed; the Yellow Kingdom, the Green Kingdom, and the Blue Kingdom. A huge expanse of sparkling blue ocean lay between them. For a long while, these three kingdoms of Yellow, Green, and Blue lived in peace.
Everything ends eventually though, especially this ephemeral thing called "peace."
The end began when King Darius Celandine of the Yellow Kingdom died.
His wife, Queen Lucia Celandine, ruled the kingdom after her husband. Queen Celandine's reign was just; but once again, everything must end eventually, and in time Lucia died too.
Then the ruler of the Yellow Kingdom was Lucia's only daughter, a 14-year-old girl named Raine Celandine. Nobody expected such a young girl to rule well; but this girl was infinitely worse than they thought!
When the people of her kingdom became poor because of the imposing taxes, she actually raised the tax rate. When the captain of the guard complained to her about this, she ordered him killed! When a horrible famine struck the kingdom and the people ran out of bread, all she did was say, "Well, then they'd better eat cake!" When other bad things happened, all she said was her favorite phrase; "Oh, it's time for a snack!"
The citizens gave her a well-deserved nick-name; the Daughter of Evil.
No kingdom, not even the previously strong Yellow Kingdom, could ever stand the rule of the Daughter of Evil.
"Once upon a time" isn't always followed by "happily ever after"; the Yellow Kingdom, like all other things, must end.
The end starts now.
