Frightwig winced as she searched for a jewelry shop in Bellwood. She touched her forehead due to a headache. *Must be the flu* she thought.
She glanced at Acid Breath and Thumbskull. *Acid Breath is probably going to drool on something and melt it for fun. Thumbskull is always hungry. He will probably steal sweets* Frightwig thought.
''Emeralds,'' Acid Breath muttered after he saw a jewelry store window. There were emerald bracelets near a necklace. Acid Breath turned to Frightwig for a few moments. ''Are you going to steal every emerald in the store?''
Frightwig ceased touching her forehead prior to a smile. ''Maybe,'' she said to Acid Breath. She saw the window another time. ''I can obtain the emeralds I see for now,'' Frightwig said. Her tresses stretched before one of them went through the window. She grinned after the window shattered.
Frightwig used her hair to lift every emerald. She wore the necklace. She winced again after her body ached.
Concern filled the other Circus Freaks' eyes. They exchanged glances. They gasped after their companion collapsed.
The flu ended Frightwig's life later that evening. Frightwig still wore the emerald necklace. She cherished emeralds before her death and in the afterlife.
