Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter, and I don't really want to anyway, so there. But I do own the Chocolate
It was one lazy Saturday afternoon during Christmas Break at Hogwarts, and nobody but Ron and Hermione were in the common room. Harry had gone off somewhere, leaving the two of them just sitting around the fire place.
And this was how the subject of chocolate came up.
"Hey Ron?" Hermiaone asked, breaking the silence and making Ron jump.
"Yeah?" he asked.
"Do you want chocolate?"
"Not particularly."
"I really want some chocolate. It just so happens that I have a stash of chocolate Hershey Kisses hidden in my trunk," said Hermione and dashed up to her dormitory.
She came back 90 seconds later with a bag of silver wrapped things in her hand.
Ron sat up from where he was laying down on the rug in front of the fireplace. "What are Hershey Kisses?"
"They're about the best thing on this planet," said Hermione, opening the bag and unwrapping one of the kisses and popping it into her mouth.
Curiosity peeked, Ron said, "What are they made of?"
Hermione rolled her eyes. "They're made of chocolate, Ron. What did you think they were made of? Cement?"
"Actually, it was foil, but apparently it's chocolate. I wonder why people like chocolate so much?"
"As if Harry and you don't prove one the Hogwarts Express why people love chocloate. You guys stuff it in your mouths like there was no tomorrow," Hermione said. She threw a Hershey Kiss at Ron.
Ron picked it up and held it in front of his face, inspecting it suspiciously.
"Go on, eat it. They're not going to kill you," Hermione said, rolling her eyes and eating another one.
Ron unwrapped it and took the very tip off the top. He realized that it was good tasting and popped the whole thing in his mouth. "Why is it that girls like chocolate so much?" he asked. "I mean, it's like every girl I know likes chocolate."
"Love is more like it. Girls love chocolate because it's like a comfort shoulder to lean on when they're feeling sad," Hermione said, just as Ron was swallowing his second Hershey Kiss.
His eyes widened and he choked on his Hershey Kiss. One he recovered, he shouted, "I'm eating SHOULDER?!"
Hermione burst out laughing. Ron glared at her. "What the heck are you laughing at, Hermione? I could die! I just ate shoulder!"
Hermione continued laughing. Ron's reaction to what she had said was absolutely hilarious. Once she managed to quiet her laughs, she explained what she had meant.
"I didn't mean it like that. You misunderstood me. These Hershey Kisses are made of plain milk chocolate. What I was saying was that chocolate is a comfort shoulder to people who feel sad."
"Ohhhh! I get it now. I think. Not really," said Ron, giving Hermione a confused look. "I still don't get why girls love chocolate so much."
Hermione sighed, smiling. "It's probably because... well, it's addicting sometimes."
"Addicting?" Ron asked, raising an eyebrow at Hermione.
Hermione nodded.
Ron laughed. "You're making it sound as if you can become a chocoholic on chocolate."
"You can! And it has the most fun effects, too!" squealed Hermione, nodding, putting her tenth kiss in her mouth. She was starting to get a tiny bit hyper.
Ron's eyes widened. "I don't want to get addicted to Hershey Kisses! What if I die?!"
Hermione burst out laughing. "You can't die from eating a lot of chocolate, Ron. You might get a massive stomach ache, but, it's definitely worth it!"
Ron looked at the Hershey Kiss bag, shrugged, and said, "Oh. Okay." Then he put another Hershey Kiss in his mouth.
"You were right, Hermione. These are so darn addicting!"
Hermione couldn't help but laugh.
Author's Note: Hershey Kisses can get addicting, trust me. I love Hershey Kisses. What did you think of it? Review and tell me! NelloIsMello
