A/N I have written another sad Harmony one shot. I hope you like it.
Disclaimer. I don't own Harry Potter or any of the characters. If I did I would be rich and Cedric, Fred, and Sirius would still be alive and Harry and Hermione would be together.
Hermione stands gripping the railing at the top of the Astronomy tower. She has tears running down her face wondering if it would be better just to jump rather to submit to him again. She rolls her shoulder back and winced when the fabric rubbed against the bruises that he left. Her hands tightned on the railing and she leans against it. The door slammed open and Harry ran into the room. She jumped and spun around putting her back against the railing.
"Harry? What are you doing here? Where's Ginny?" Hermione asked looking over his shoulder.
"Ginny is with Ron," he answered and watched her flinch at that. "Why do you stay with him, Hermione?" Harry said.
"He loves me because no one else will," she said simply. Harry frowned at her words. "He loves me, I know he does," Hermione whispered more to herself then Harry.
"If he loved you Hermione he wouldn't hurt you," Harry said. Hermione jerked her head to gape at Harry.
"He doesn't hurt me! I'm just clumsy, Harry. You know that," Hermione said. Harry frowned again and walked over to her and wiped away her tears.
"So why are you crying, then?" He asked. She swallowed and shrugged. "Lets go back to the common room, Hermione. Curfew is in a few minutes for us anyway." Hermione nodded and they walked towards the door.
The next night Hermione found herself at the tower again. She has new bruises from him and more tears.
"Clumsy my ass," she mumbles and sighed. "I wish Harry was here. What am I doing! I don't need anyone! I shouldn't trust anyone. Damn you, Ron! I hate you for making me feel like this. I hate you!" She said loudly. She looks around the tower and sighs. "No Harry to save me tonight," she whispered as she leans over the railing. She starts fall and heard the door slam open with Harry screaming her name. "Harry," she whispers as her body connects with the ground and she is no more.
A week later Harry stands at the same spot Hermione had stood at the night he found her before she took her life.
"Hermione, I miss you," he said as he stared at the ground. "Ron has been kicked out of the school and his family disowned him. Your funeral was so horrible. I thought I would never stop crying. I miss you so much. Most of the people from the school came. It was hard to get them to dress normal though. Hagrid was next to impossible to explain to your muggle family," Harry gave a sad laugh here before he continued. "Mrs Weasley sobbed the entire time, she blames herself because of what Ron did to you. Why didn't you tell us, Hermione? Don't worry though I'll be with you soon," Harry said as he leaned over the railing and he too falls to his death.
