(A/N) Thank you to everyone who has read my latest story: Post Prom: Winding Down. I posted it just a week ago and already have gotten over 150 hits. It feels great to be back in the fanfiction community.

This short piece is more of a one-shot. I started to think about how a place can hold some significance in a person's life. Feel free to review.

On the last day of senior year, Ron Stoppable walked through Middleton High School one last time, taking in all the places he had spent so many years in.

He paused at the door to the gym and stared into it. Many a time he had spent in here practicing with the cheerleading team as the mascot before moving onto the football team. But those were not the only memories this place held, as it was also where Kim and he had shared their first kiss.

Ron blushed at the memory of the Junior Prom, as the two of them had been lost in each other when they had done that, not really caring that their whole class had seen it. It really didn't matter that much, considering that the student body seemed to have been expecting the two of them to get together for quite some time.

"Ron?" Kim's voice brought him back to the present as she came up next to him. "What are you doing?"

"Oh, hey KP, I was just, um, well…reminiscing."

"Reminiscing?" she repeated, looking out into the gym. "About what? Sweaty gym classes and cheerleading?"

"Not only that…" Ron replied, trailing off. He couldn't help but blush and break out in a smile.

Kim gave him a confused look, then suddenly getting it, smiled softly, blushing as well.

Not needing words, Ron outstretched his hand to her, and she took it without a second thought. The two of them sauntered into the center of the dark gym. They were alone, as all of their classmates had excitedly left school for the last time.

Ron pulled her close, gently wrapping his arms around her waist. Kim laid her head on his shoulder and draped her arms over his shoulders and the two of them began their slow twirl. There was no music, but they didn't need any. The dance seemed to come naturally to them, as it had that night.

After a few moments, the two of them pulled back to stare at each other and leaned in without hesitation. Their lips met in a kiss that was a far cry from their first one, one that had been full of shyness and nerves. This kiss was full of passion and emotion as both Kim and Ron realized this was it for high school. But the gym would always hold a special place in their hearts as where it all began.
