Tyskomi Ikuto felt his pocket vibrate as he stood in the middle of a busy town square on Christmas Eve. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his cell. He flicked it open to be greeted by Hinamori Amu. A small smile played across his lips as he took in her picture.
She sat on her green, tree covered bed spread and grinned at the phone. Her long flowing green skirt blended in with the cover. Her red long sleeve clung to her developing curves. Her arms were folded cutely in her lap.
"Beautiful…" He whispered before pocketing his phone and continuing on his way.
As he reached the home that had held him many times, he couldn't help but be drawn to the window. There standing by a Christmas tree was the one girl that filled his thoughts day and night. He smiled.
'The real thing is much better than the picture.' He thought as he took in her glowing face, sparkling eyes, and wide smile. He grinned before jumping onto her balcony.
Hinamori Amu smiled widely in happiness as she stared at the glowing Christmas tree in her living room. Ami, her baby sister, stared in amazement at how it turned out.
'For some reason,' Amu thought, 'this Christmas doesn't feel as lively as the last…what changed?' Amu jumped as a hard vibration came from her skirt pocket. She pulled her cell out quickly and flipped it open.
Ikuto greeted her. She smiled as she took in the picture. He lay on a green comforter. Her eyes widened.
'Green…comforter…covered in trees!' She darted up the stairs and threw open her door. Ikuto lay on the bed. He smiled at her.
"Hey, Amu," he greeted.
"Ikuto!" She exclaimed. A smile split her face.
"Miss me?" He questioned. She blushed and shrugged. She stared at him as an odd wave of contentment washed through her.
'Was this what my Christmas was missing?' She wondered to herself as she looked at his still smiling face. She smiled at him as she realized, 'Yes, yes. It was…' She thought. As calmly as she could, she walked over to him.
"Yeah…" She whispered as she climbed on the bed next to him. He looked at her in shock. "I missed you…" Amu wrapped her arms around him.
"Amu…" He breathed. He smiled once more and wrapped his own long arms around her waist.
"Christmas just doesn't seem the same without you…" She whispered.
"Well, I'm home now…" He answered.
'Where you should be…' She snuggled deeper into his arms.
