A sigh escaped his lips in a foggy burst, quickly dispersing into the rain-drenched night. His fingers slipped into his pocket and pulled a small bag from inside his jacket pocket and let it fall to the ground next to him, a large jewel rolling out of it.
"C'mon Batsy, what's a clown gotta do to get a little attention?"
He stood and wiped a hand over his face, the other reaching up to absently play with soaked strands of green.
"Do I have to blow a Kindergarten up? I'll do it, don't think I won't."
He let out another sigh and leant up against the wall, kicking at the jewel angrily. It wasn't fair, he wanted a little bit of attention, he wasn't asking for a lot. Just one punch in the face, a single snarled word even would make him a happy clown.
He bent and picked up the gem, replacing it within the bag and slipping that into his pocket once more. He left the alley he had been hiding from the rain in and ran across the road, causing a car to swerve and crash into a wall. He looked at it with blank eye, not finding it in him to laugh at the accident he had caused.
As he was climbing a fire-escape a hard object collided with his hand, making him lose his grip and fall to the soaked concrete below. With practiced grace and agility, he was on his feet again, a giggle tearing past his lips, he would recognise that familiar collision of bat-shaped metal with his body anywhere. He turned to face the caped man behind him, wagging a finger in a mocking way, almost like telling a small child off.
"You're late Batsy~"
He laughed once more as he barely dodged a fist to the face and took off, though he knew too well that he would be caught eventually.
Everything was fine in Joker's world as long as he had his Batman's attention.
This was written as a sort of apology for my other JokerxBatsy fanfic. I wanted to write something kind of fluffy and cute, instead everyone gets this.
