Happily Ever After?

"Alice, you can't leave us again" a timide Hatter mumbled behind her. Alice turned and her blue eyes met his emerald green ones. "I have to, I need to figure some things out. Questions that need to be answered."

"Can you just write them down and send the letter with the questions on?" he asked with little hope in his voice. She chuckled but then looked at him. Her Hatter, the bravest man in the whole of Underland and he was begging her to stay with him.

That sounds nice, she thought. Staying with him. She looked down at the vial of purple Jabberwocky bloody and then to the creature's head itself beside them. Queen Mirana, the Tweedles, McTwisp and everyone else was watching her, all seemily begging her. She turned back to Tarrant and made a weak smile.

"Why is a raven like a writting desk Hatter?" she asked, curious but she could guess his answer.

"I haven't the faintest idea Alice" he answered and his eyes seemed to turn a dull blue-er colour to the shade of the normal emerald colour.

She stared back at the vial, concentrating hard - was she really needed back 'home'? Her father's business could survive wihout her surely? And her mother would be at ease if she, Alice was happy.

She turned to the Jabberwocky's head again and walked towards it. Kneeling down she opened the vial and after a stiff pause, poured the liquid down the creature's throat, where it belonged.

"That is where the blood should remain and belong," Alice muttered to herself. Then she stood up and looked at Tarrant. "And here is where I should remain and belong." She smiled at realisation at her words sunk into her friends minds and there was a huge cheer.

She walked over to Tarrant and gave him a hug. He hugged her back all too happily and breathed "Thank you Alice."

"No problem..Tarrant" she whispered back and smiled up at him. He responded by placing his hand in hers. "Let's go home." he said and she took his hand.

They walked off into the sunset back to Marmoreal, and lived happily ever after.

Just a small thing been at the back of my mind for a while about my movie ending. Its a disney film and there would have been little kids watching but a hug is fine for a kiddie film surely? no kiss, no hug, no even cuddles! Grrr but I loved the movie.
