Jade Dragon Saga (Prologue)
"Nothing can change the fact that this is my fault!" Jade screamed as she stood over the remains of her home. Isn't it ironic? The place that she wanted nothing to do with still i
n the end becomes the place that she misses most. Tears poured from her face as she grabbed the Yu Jian from the broken pedestal. Filled with anger, she started to swing the
sword, not just to swing it, but to practice. She starts to steady her breathing, and close her eyes. Her father always told her that if you ever need to release your anger then
you need to practice the Chinese Sword because it relieves stress. Police sirens started going off a few miles up the road. they were on the way, but she didn't care. She created
an area around the rubble and one by one she would recite her attacks as she did them. "Ji!" (Strike) She took two steps forward while thrusting her blade with one hand on her
chest. "Chou!" (Extract) She pretended that her enemy was already struck and pulled the blade out of her imaginary foe. "Dai!" (Lead) She pretended that there were two foes
and began to deflect both attacks while holding the blade forward and stepping backwards. "Qie!" (Intercept) While leading her imaginary opponents by blocking, she steps
inward and in a sliding motion with her blade she slashes her first imaginary foes wrist in a downward motion while dodging her second opponents horizontal slash. She stops
attacking once she realized that the LCPD were there; Detective Hong Ta, the head of the organized crime division steps out of the vehicle; He begins to speak through the
loudspeaker as the fire department rushes toward the flames behind her. "Jade Lee, yes I know all about the Chinese Mafia. We can either do this the easy way, or the hard way
and I don't want to shoot a child. Put the Sword down and put your hands on your head!" Ta Shouted. A moment passed and Jade slowly begins to turn around. She focuses her
gaze toward the officer. She knew that she couldn't lose what was left of her family and begins to tighten her grip on the sword. Remembering that there was a back exit in the
basement of her home, she began to back toward the giant hole near the pedestal of the Yu Jian. Suddenly the spotlight from the chopper above begins to focus on Jade, the
pilot radios in to Hong about her planning an escape based on her movements and Hong immediately points to Jade. Grab her, Ta shouted as he started running toward her. The
firemen behind her lunged toward her and in an instant Jade sidestepped and snap kicked the nearest fireman on her right, as he stumbled backward he had fallen toward the
other Fireman behind him; allowing her to dive into the dark basement below. Ta rushes toward the hole and becomes hesitant once he reaches it. He stops at the edge, points
his flashlight down below and says, "There's no way that she walked away from a steep drop like that! Send in a team, we need to find her."
