You Could Be Happy

I sat on the floor of my bedroom. Flicking through my phone as I waited for a text from my best friend Molly. I ran my hand backwards through my messy yet stylish honey toned hair, ruffling it around slightly so it was framing my face. I looked down at my phone as it buzzed a few times on the white fluffy carpet.

1 New Message: from - Molly(:

"I'm outside, hurry hurry!" xoxo

I laughed as I picked myself up from the floor, my eyes instantly landing on the mirror in front of me. I smiled slightly at my appearance. I didn't want to brag or nothing, but this was possibly the cutest outfit I have ever worn in my entire life. I had kept it simple yet cute. Plain yet eye-catching.

I wore a baby pink 3-quarter length dress, with Paris and couture fashion signs all across is. An old faded denim shirt as a coat and my prized possessions : my black Roberto Cavalli stilettos that my parents gifted me with for my sweet 16th.

I opened my door and smiled at Molly as we got into my car. The first few minutes of the car ride were pretty silent. She knew how nervous I was about driving this dark at night so she kept quiet until I was successfully on the right road before striking up conversation.

"You know there's gonna be so many hot guys here tonight right?" I giggled and nodded as I looked over at her

"Molly you have a boyfriend, remember him?"

"So? What's your point ?"

I laughed, shaking my head at her as I pulled up to our destination.

We got out of the car and made our way towards the house. We were still laughing and joking with each other -about things that were said in the car - so much that Molly almost fell into the front door as she was opening it. We hurried inside and made our way into the kitchen, where our closest friend Josh was, getting drinks for everybody and making jokes.

He grinned at us and made his way over to us with two drinks in his hand, giving us one each, in exchange for the birthday presents we had gotten him.

"I'm so glad you guys could make it. Honestly this party is sick!" he grinned again and pulled us both in for hugs. We laughed as he pulled away and began talking to Molly about fixing me up with some guy tonight. I rolled my eyes and laughed a little at them as I walked out of the kitchen and out into the back yard where the pool was.

I looked around and saw a bunch of girls from our school and a lot of guys that I had passed in the hallway. I said a few hello's and gave hugs to some of my friends, as I walked back inside the house. I had only walked a few steps when I suddenly smacked into something in front of me, causing me to stumble back and almost topple over. That's when I felt two arms drape around my waist and haul me forwards, where I was suddenly face to face, inches apart from the most beautiful guy I had ever seen in my entire life.
