As I walked through the Stargate a new sensation filled me. My brother walked through after his eyes darting all over taking in everyone and everything. John Shepherd walked toward us and both of our bodies tensed up.
"Welcome to Atlantis," He said smiling. I relaxed but, Fang kept his yellow eyes locked and John. "Thank you, we weren't told why we were sent here so if you could explain," I asked elbowing Fang in the stomach.
"No one told you why you were sent here? Well I don't think I should be the one telling you this, this way," he told me a surprise look on his face.
We followed him up the stair way and in to the meeting room. "Dr. Weir, Teyla, Ronan, and Rodney this is Fang and Midnight." John introduced us to the people in the room. I smiled showing my sharp teeth as I did Ronan pulled his gun out. Fang change into his gillywit form and pushed me aside and lunged at Ronan. I grabbed his bladed tail and with the strength of ten men I pulled him back.
"Fang get a grip," I yelled and he changed back to human, "Forgive him Ronan he is just over protective."
"Ronan should be the one apologizing Midnight, right Ronan," John said
"Sorry," Ronan grunted, "Thought you were a wraith."
Fang smiled and I knew that he had forgiven him, "Why are we here Dr. Weir."
"We think you two might be able to stop the wraith."
"The what," Fang asked.
"The Wraith didn't they tell you anything down at Stargate command," Dr. Weir said. We both shook our heads.
"The wraith is a creature that feed off of the life force of humans. We so far have only made a tiny dent in stopping them, we think thanks to the way you two are that you will have better chance," John told us.
"These wraith do they need to feed to survive or do they just use it as a weapon," I asked.
"They need to feed to survive," Dr. Weir said.
"So you are asking us to destroy something that is just trying to survive," Fang asked.
"Yes but you would be saving many humans."
"What have humans done to use that would want us to save a whole galaxy of them," I said a cold glare on my face, "Or do you think just because you gave us freedom that we would forgive that easily. The one reason I would attack the wraith would be to stop them from taking all of our food supply or have you forgotten about that too."
The room was still. 'Midnight what are you doing I don't to end up back in a lab chained up'
'Don't worry my brother it will be fine just wait.'
"What do you mean," Rodney asked.
I smiled showing my sharp teeth, "We too need to feed off of humans to survive."
