The wind tore through the trash ridden streets of Los Angeles. Angel, the vampire with a soul, was frantically searching for his lost lover. Tears filled his eyes as he scanned the various dead demon bodies that lay in heaps on the cold streets. Not more than an hour ago, Angel and his friends had been fighting the terrible forces that the Senior Partners had released on the city. Angel and his team had won of course, but now the disheartened vampire was unable to find the thing that mattered most to him, his soul mate.
"Baby Cakes!" Angel called mournfully. His saddened voice echoed off the buildings and broke the eerie silence that had engulfed the town. "Honey!" Exhausted, he leaned against a building to rest for a moment before continuing with his search. And as he rested something truly wonderful happened. Out of the rubble and fallen foes, a beautiful mocha god emerged.
Angel's cheerless eyes suddenly widened with glee, and for a moment he swore his heart started to beat. "Baby Cakes? Is that really you?" he cried with joy as he flung himself at Gunn.
"Boo Boo!?" Gunn laughed as he grabbed his soul mate into a warm embrace. He was also very relieved and happy to see Angel had made it through the battle ok.
After a moment of pure bliss Angel pulled back a bit to have a look at his lost lover. "Gunny Honey, you look awful," he whispered in a worried melancholy voice. He ran a finger lovingly along a cut on Gunn's magnificent chocolate colored face. As he caressed the side of Gunn's cheek he gave him a meaningful look.
"Yeah, I got a nasty cut during the fight," Gunn sighed. He kissed Angel and proceeded to grope the vampire as they embraced again. "Don't worry baby, your Gunn will never leave you again."
Angel giggled and started to passionately French-kiss his dark soul mate. He hugged Gunn close and felt whole again, to him it was like a bit of Heaven that chased all dark feelings and thoughts away. "I love you Cupcake." He whispered tenderly.
Gunn ran a hand down Angel's sweat soaked back, "I love you too dear." He smiled as he kissed his dead lover's neck.
Soon they married and lived happily ever after.
