Castiel was used to appearing in Dean's sleeping quarters to watch over him. Of course his wings were nothing more than painful scars on his back now. He'd slept in fear for a while but now that he was at the bunker with Dean and Sam, he was unsure. The first thing Dean did was pull Castiel into a tight hug. Then he pulled Cas to the bathroom and undressed him carefully. Dean saw the few singed feathers left and gently plucked them. Then he lowered them into the bathtub and scrubbed Castiel top to bottom. He washed his hear and cleaned up the dried blood around where his wings had once been. "Dean." Cas mumbled as Dean's hands gently ran across the gouges and protruding bone fragments.

"Did I hurt you?" Dean asked urgently.

"Everything hurts." Castiel said as tears began dripping into the pool of water they were soaking in. Dean pulled Castiel against him once again. Dean let him cry, knowing he could do little to help. Finally they got out of the bath and Dean bandaged Cas up. When Dean went to make up a room for Cas the angel grew suddenly worried.

"What's wrong?" Dean asked, sensing the change.

"Cant I sleep with you tonight? Just this once." Castiel said with big blue eyes.

"Sure Cas." Dean smiled and led the angel to his room and found some clothes for him to wear.

"Dean?" Cask asked as he got under the covers next to the other.

"Yeah Cas?" Dean asked not opening his eyes.

"I feel better thank you." Castiel said moving closer to Dean under the covers.

"Sure thing Cas." Dean smiled and wrapped himself around his angel. Cas smiled and buried himself in Dean's chest feeling safer than he had in a long time. He was happy too because the man he had fallen for, lost his wings for, gone through so much pain for, was holding him like nothing else in the world mattered. And that made Cas feel better.
