The phone rang, shaws mind and heart went into over drive, just when she thought the machine was finished that her job was finished, she picked up the phone reluctantly knowing the voice on the other end was going to be roots,

"Shaw, sweetie it's me. You fancy that four alarm fire soon?, meet me on the corner. Our story's not finished yet"

Shaw couldn't help the smile that escaped across her face. But every sense in her heart and head told her not to get trapped in this, this was a Samaritan trick. Root was dead, yes her body was weirdly missing, but Shaw has seen her body herself, she was dead right?.

Shaw couldn't let slip a chance this could be actually be root, if it wasn't she would take the pain, what much did she have left to live or fight for?.

Shaw slowly walked bear to the end of the street, she kept close eyes on her surroundings but everyone around her acted like she was invisible she was just another image and figure in the chaos and bustle of the busy streets people getting to their jobs home to there family's just going about there usual life.

Whilst Shaw was walking towards the woman that gave her life, the women that made her feel, who accepted her and everything she is and was. Root was her saving grace in a sense, she edged round the corner, bear whimpered softly and coiled up against shaws legs, she looked down turning her head to the side,

"what's up boy?"

"maybe he's seeing a ghost" a familiar voice spoke softly and more shy than usual

Shaws heart stopped right there, she felt any air she had in her lungs dry up, as everything around her became a blur. Thoughts swirled round her mind and she pressed her eyes shut, let the voice sooth her racing mind as bear became excited beside her his tail hitting against her leg.

Shaw reluctantly opened her eyes shyly frightened if she opened them too quick everything would disappear, but as the figure in front of her came into view, it was like a weight was lifted off her chest, Shaw felt her lungs fill with air. Her heartbeat start to race, and her palms become sweaty.

She could only stand in awe of the tall brunette in front of her she took in every detail the way roots long slim legs stood straight and proud, roots toned torso and perky chest, that soft pale face with a forever smirk etched on her lips, her face framed by a tangle of long slightly curly brown hair.

"root.." Shaw exhaled only slightly audible.

"sweetie, I told you, am not leaving you again."

Root slowly edged towards Shaw cautious of there surroundings and cautious of the other woman and how she must be feeling at this moment in time.

But Shaw melted into roots arms, the two women clung to each other, needing more contact needing the feeling of skin on skin, needing that warm feeling of having someone beside you.
