A/N: I do not own any of the Harry Potter characters, or Hogwarts' or anything. I just own my lap-top that I'm typing on. I do use many commas so I'm sorry!!!!

Lily Evans walked to the Headmaster's office. She was worried of what was to happen. She had not heard from her parents in over two weeks. The headmaster had wanted her immediately. "Lemon Drops," she said. She stepped onto the stairs to go to Headmaster Dippit's office. She stopped in front of the door and took a deep breath, then stepped inside. "Hello Ms. Evan's, lemon drop?" She shook her head no. "No thank-you, sir. May I ask why I'm here?" His brown eyes had no shine of happiness. "As you've taken notice to, you're parent's haven't written to you lately. There's a reason, but I wish you to stay calm." "Of course," she replied. "You're parent's had been taken hostage three weeks ago, and were found this-morning." She sighed in relief. "They're ok aren't they, Headmaster?" He heisted. "Lily, I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, they were pronounced dead awhile ago. They were taken to Saint Mungos. They were under the best care. I'm sorry." Her eyes clouded over in sadness and grief. She started crying hysterically. "No you're lying! They wouldn't leave me! They're all I have left." She started running for the door. "Ms. Evans, please let me-" She ignored him & ran out the door, then down the corridor.

She reached the Gryffindor Common Room & skidded to a halt in front of it, still crying. "Flying Snitch," she told the Fat Lady's portrait. It opened slowly and she ran into the common room. She slammed into someone and they hit the floor with a thud. "Lily? What's wrong?" It was James Potter. Not one of the best people to run into, but she needed someone to cry on, so she did just that. He picked her up & walked to the crimson chair closest to him. "Lily… Don't cry. Please do not… Nothing can be that bad." She looked at him pitifully with watery emerald eyes & salty tears going down her face. "They're dead James… My mum and dad are dead." He looked back with pain-filled eyes. He felt so sorry for her, for he had lost his parents and younger sister earlier in the school year as well. He just did the best he could, and comforted her and hugged her. They sat their for how long, they did not know, but slowly Lily stopped crying & started hiccupping. 'Hiccup.' James laughed. "What is so funny Potter?" He grinned stupidly, and fixed her position on his lap. "Your hiccups are cute. I had to laugh. Sorry." She rolled her eyes and got of his lap, then started walking away. "Where are you going?" She turned around. "As its ten o'clock, I'm going to change into pajamas and grab a book. I'll be back down." She walked up the stairs quickly. He sighed, and walked to the bots dorms. He changed into Gryffindor pattern pajama pants and a quiddich shirt, then walked back down and sat down to wait on Lily.

Five minutes, later she walked down in a Crimson and gold shirt that Sirius had gotten her on Christmas, and purple pants. Holding a book in one had and her wand in the other. He moved over on the couch for her. "Thank you James… for being there for me. No matter how annoying you are, you're pretty sweet." He blushed. "No problem Lily." She sat down next to him and opened her book, Hogwarts a History , which was her favorite book. The common room opened and Sirius, and Remus came in.
