You're Vain and a Pain
Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter. If I did, Remus and Tonks wouldn't have died.
I eyed my sister as she gave such a fake, sugary laugh. She was obviously trying to fit in with the High Ranking rich children. Of course, she need not have bothered: her little master plan had worked since day one. Everyone was smitten with Tori. And what was I? "Daphne Greengrass? Isn't she Astoria's sister?" I was the one everyone fawned over, Pansy's second in command, heck, I even caught Draco's eye a couple of times. Then Tori wandered into the picture. Oh how things changed! Now, I've been demoted to one of Pansy's pawns, since her and Tori "have so much in common," and Draco hasn't me a second glance unless needed. And that was just first year!
Now, all she has to do is step into the room, and all the head snap around so fast you would d think they'd get whiplash. Her cerulean eyes send such seductive glance behind her bulky sunglasses, you can practically see the boys' hearts jump out their chest. She just swans around like she owns the place. Her face is no longer rosy and naturally pretty, but plastered in make-up looking so false yet so gorgeous, it is impossible.
But I know her act. Even at the manor, she needs everyone's eyes on her, to keep the charade up, or she just shrinks into this timid little insect that can barely utter a word. She uses those sunglasses to hide her face because she is too ashamed to look anyone in the eye. She wears so much make-up to cover the sweet girl she once was, because she cannot stand to look back. She cannot stand the past and it would destroy her to be trapped in it.
I smirked as I heard her give another fake laugh. I know what can kill her, and one day, I will use that against her. I'm not the only one who she really is; Theodore knows it too. Actually, when one come to think of it, he knows everything around the school. But still, I am not alone. One day, her act will come undone, and her precious friends will come back to me, I will be Pansy's best friend again, and the others will once again stare enviously at me again.
I turned on my heel, and began to march on they way of the Slytherin common room. I will not look on with jealousy tonight, when Tori leaves the Forth Year dorm for mine and Pansy's to gossip into the night, because I know that when her shy little self, her true self, come out, I will be in her place
Tori, you may think yourself fine, but I'm finer.
