As the summer sun shone benignly over the summit of the mountain that housed the Xiaolin temple, a certain youthful monk was perusing his literary collection. He was nursing his sore shoulder after a hasty retreat; he kept forgetting to keep his disproportionately large mouth shut around his fearsome female friend.
"Kimiko is most confusing," Omi murmured as he tended to both his body and his books. She was certainly nothing like he'd expected the fairer gender to be. Soft spoken, gentle, calm: these were the traits of a respectable woman, he thought.
Or, at least that's what his 'Ancient Guide to Females' said, at any rate. 'Speak of the angel,' he thought, plucking it deftly from the towering stacks. Examining it, he pondered. Why was Kimiko always so offended by his remarks? Surely she could understand he was only trying to help, couldn't she? For old times sake, Omi decided to once again read over his elucidating text- perhaps there was something vital he had missed the first read through.
Sitting back, he pulled back the cover, the binding crackling in protest. The clean, faded characters stared up at him helpfully as he perused the tome; surely there was something in this that would help him smooth things over with his friend? Finding nothing than he had before, he sat back, lips pursed. What was he to do?

Undaunted, he flipped to its front. There was obviously an author- perhaps she had written more on this subject? After all, females were complex creatures, despite their supposedly gentle and weak physiology. He used the term 'supposedly' since Kimiko was anything but.

However, to his great surprise a name he had not expected lay underneath the title. That wasn't to say he recognized it, though. But it certainly could not have been the name of a woman. "Yín Chóng" stared back up at him, a most decidedly male name if he'd ever read one. Well, that could not possibly be correct! It's an ancient guide to females- a man could not properly explain what he did not know for himself, after all.

"This must be why Kimiko is so upset. No wonder she is always hitting me- I have received a source of most incorrect information!" he snapped the book shut, tossing it to the side carelessly. He would confront Kimiko about this revelation and set right the wrongs he had committed.
