A/N - This poem I like for no reason. It is about Link's mother trying to save him. It is sweet
because she goes everywhere possible before she will give up her precious child whom she
knows is special. Oh! I remember! I like this poem because it is the first one I wrote that
rhymed!
Is There No Sanctuary?
My child is born, a precious gift of life,
sent from the goddesses on high,
My child, I run, I scream, you cry as the fire blazes forth.
The man of evil, the heart of evil follows me on my way,
I flee from my home, to the rock torn waves,
hoping to find a place for my child, a place where I can stay.
The man is kind, he lets me stay and so I shall live on
but what went wrong?
Where am I now?
The house is gone, the man lay dead as I flee for my baby's life.
My child, I shall save you, so sleep on this night,
I shall protect you form the evil plight.
Where can I go?
What shall I do, as I go running on?
To the mountain, yes the mountain, with the rocks so strong and bold.
I hide with them, with my breath so short,
trembling as I wake to find them all extinct.
Hush my child, you shall live on, in the rivers kingdom afar,
with the gently flowing river before you,
I shall always be behind you,
were air is found, my body in the ground,
yes you shall live on.
The wind it blows, of tales not told,
as the gateway blows away,
we run my child, run fast and swift
to our last and only hope
my time grows short
yet yours is long and forever part of me
the forest my child, the deep, dark woods
lit by lights above.
Please help me in my long search
for a sanctuary, for a haven
for a safe place, to rest my feet
and free my child, for the evil has come at last.
Save my child
where he can live
away from the treacherous bonds of me
the man, he comes to take my life, so promise me you will?
He sought out me, for you my child are but the new born prince.
