Away With Words is a book of poems by high school students, when I was 12 I got a poem I wrote into this book. The summary:
How can I not dream while writing?
The blank page gives a right to dream. 'Imagination rules the world.'
Away with words has truly inspired secondary school pupils across the UK and overseas. The series showcases the wealth of talent and enthusiasm for literature today's young adult's have.
In this collection the budding poets have drawn their inspiration from many sources, including their friends, hobbies, the environment and their idols. Each poem gives an insight in to the way the author perceives the world around them and provides a lasting snapshot of 'here and now'.
We are sure this anthology will inspire authors and readers alike to put pen to paper again and again.
Just to let you know I'm not posting my poem to boast I'm doing it because I think it's a really good book and I don't want to post poems that don't belong to me. My poem is called 'I want to be Remembered...' It's about some one who is called 'evil' and has done something really terrible but it doesn't actually say what although I have an idea. It sorta explains a bit why they done whatever they done and how sometimes if your a really horrible person and do horrible things then you might be remembered for it. I'm sorry if it's not that good...
I Want to Be Remembered
I want to be remembered,
For the rest of time,
I want future generations to wonder,
What went through my mind,
They will probably think I was crazy,
But I am actually quite sane.
I want to be remembered,
For the rest of time,
Isn't that what everyone wants,
Deep within their mind?
You may think I'm evil,
Maybe I really am,
But now I will be remembered,
For the rest of time.
That's it... Um, review and tell me what you think!
