Disclaimer: I do not own Gundam Wing. I just have a mild obsession with it

A/N: It may be confusing and a little more on the poetic side than I usually go for but for some reason this couple makes me all romantic. Criticism is always welcome. Also, it is not my intention to offend anyone of any particular faith. I just thought this setting fit them well.

The first thought to cross her mind was that there was no wind. It was such a strange sensation to be standing in a meadow and not feeling the breeze. But the flowers were still there standing tall even whilst there was no sun to look up to. She glanced around for a long while losing track of time before slowly wondering around the endless sea of wild flowers. Eventually she saw a tree off into the distance. She emerged onto the scene of what she began to realize was a stone bench beneath a white cherry tree and upon that bench sat someone she had not seen in such a very long time. Her heart ached longingly at the sight of him. He still looked so very young, his hair still chocolaty brown and disheveled hung loosely in his face, his deep blue eyes however, shown with more emotion than she had gotten used to seeing. She smiled at him brightly despite the wrinkles around her eyes and her grey hair falling limply down her back.

"Hello Heero." He responded with a grunt. "Have you waited here for me all this time?"

"I will always wait for you." Her aged features cracked even more for the smile on her face became even larger. "Just let me know once you are ready." She reached out for his hand and clasped it within her own.

They sat like that for a long while. It was hard to keep track of time. Her smile turned into a mild grimace, she was beginning to miss the wind. "I missed you, Heero." She didn't expect a reply. More time passed. "I wish we could have had more time together."

He gave her a sad little smile, his eyes shining bright. "Maybe next time."

"Maybe." It came out of her mouth like a whisper that didn't carry as far as she had wanted without the wind to carry it. "I miss the wind, Heero."

"Yeah."

"Moving on together this time?"

"Yeah."

They both stood with hands still clasped, Relena using her free hand to unwrinkled her skirt even though there were no wrinkles to be smoothed. "Thank you for waiting for me, Heero." He once again responded with a grunt but that did not matter to her as they walked hand in hand towards the light.
