Disclaimer: I own nothing besides a small plushie of Hiei :-)

Silvery moonlight shone down on an almost empty field, glittering among the leaves of a single tree that stood alone in the middle of the field. The light on the trees made the leaves shine almost a metallic green as the long grass swayed softly and the wind whispered through the air. Beneath the tree sat a lone figure, his long reddish hair floating gently in the breeze and his fragile looking body leaned back against the large trunk of a tree. His name was Kurama, though really that was the name of the kitsune demon that inhabited his body. He sat now in the middle of the field under the large tree, one pale hand held out in front of him as rose petals fell silently to the ground. He watched them in fascination, even though he had seen them so many times before… He could never get over how beautiful they were or how gracefully they fell to the ground and landed so silently that it was almost as if they weren't even there. The light from the moon gave them the same silvery tone that it gave the leaves and they almost seemed to shine their own light as they turned and fell through the air. His gaze turned upwards slowly as the petals continued to fall from his palm and he stared dazedly at the moon above him. The silvery tone reminded him of Youko's hair and the beams reminded him of the way the hair fell down the kitsune's back like a wave of soft silver that blew in the wind. He'd been connected with Youko for some time now, ever since he had almost died as a child and been kept alive by the demon who'd needed a host to live. Now he was able to call him out when needed and instantly gained the kitsune's grace, strength and mind, which was as quick and as sharp as a newly sharpened blade. Suddenly he felt himself changing and realized that by thinking of Youko, he had accidentally brought him out. He stood now, a tall pale kitsune demon and watched as the last fallen petals fluttered through the breeze like a small group of blood red butterflies. As they disappeared into the darkness and fell peacefully into the grass, Youko sat himself back down and leaned back against the tree again then fell silently into sleep, lulled by the soft whispers of the silvery wind.

I know it's strange but please R&R!
