When Nico DiAngelo began coming out of the Apollo cabin more and more frequently throughout the days, Piper had began to get a little suspicious. Sure, she knew that the guy was friends with Will Solace (though she had never had been fully sure as to the full relationship, as the son of Hades kept to himself most of the time), but something felt... different about this. Honestly, she had been a little too scared to approach Nico about it, even though she trusted him after the quest and the battle against the Romans, but he still seemed untouchable to her. Like he was supposed to belong somewhere else.
After pondering it for a while, the child of Aphrodite decided to follow him and see what happened. A bit nosy, yes, but her curiousity was killing her at this point. With a small smirk crossing her tanned face, Piper caught sight of Nico heading to the Apollo cabin. SIlently, she began to mirror him, remaining out of sight and trying to not draw attention to herself. Somehow, it worked, even though she almost laughed from pure excitement and nervousness on several occaisons, causing herself to make small noises in the process.
She watched the door shut with a soft slam, and lay in wait for a few moments. The sound of muffled voices came from inside, and something that sounded vaguely like laughter. At this point, she wasn't fully sure what she was waiting for, but what if it wasn't like she thought it was. It could cause some serious awkwardness that she wasn't sure she could charmspeak her way out of.
Well, here goes, she thought, taking a deep breath before placing her hand on the doorknob and slowly swinging open the door. The scene before her was both surprising and something that, deep down, she had predicted. Nico and Will were snuggled up against one another, kissing. A tiny squeak of shock escaped her lips instinctively, and the boys parted, staring over to her, blushing and flustered as all three their explanations began to intertwine in unison. After apologizing for what she had done, Piper slowly backed out of the room, not before she caught sight of something she never thought she would she would see.
Nico had been smiling.
I cannot stop writing PJO oneshots. I literally cannot at this point.
SolAngelo is life.
This is probably going to be a small collection of oneshots that I'll update whenever I get ideas. They could be from 300 words to about 1000 or more? This was one of the 380 word ones, not including this author's note.
