Hello, dear reader. I have adopted the story 'A Summer of Twisted Fates' originally written by summerviolet. I hope you enjoy this story, and constructive criticism is always welcome.
~~O~~
The isle of Fyarding was a normally quiet island, being inhabited by the northerners, whose fierce spirits had been quite literally squashed by a famine, ravaging the tiny island. The king was worried, and his advisors were squabbling like crows over food. The island's inhabitants were on the brink of destruction. And their fate would be death, until somebeast arrived. It was the Stranger.
~~O~~
A ship had docked on the coast. It was a fine thing to behold, huge, wrought of cedar and iron, and shaped in the form of an eagle. Beasts had gathered around the ship out of curiosity, and King Bjarn himself had come, seated on a great wooden throne. The ship was silent, nobeast on board. Some were leaving due to tasks they had to do, when a beast, dressed in black robes, and a hood covered his eyes, appeared on the shore. And thus began the rise and fall of Fyarding.
The Stranger, as he was called by the masses, enchanted King Bjarn with promises of lands of milk and honey, and with power and fame on the battlefield. With him he brought horses from the the lands over the sea, and arms and armour of great quality, made by armorers of great skill, but with him none came. This was a source of wonder for many, and when the King swore an oath of fealty with him, the nobility and the commoners joined the King, but they were loth to do so, for they had no trust in the Stranger. And then, they prepared for war.
And so ends the prologue, I hope you liked it. As always, constructive criticism is always welcome.
