The Birth of a Hero: Vegeta's grief

Vegeta looked down at the royal grave site in West his arms lay a baby with spikey black hair and big blue eyes.

The baby was a hero born out of great sacrafice from the previous princess of Saiyans.

Two Weeks Ago

"Soon, Vegeta, our third and last child will be born" said the saiyan princess as she rubbed her huge pregnant stomach."No more children after this, ok? He will be the president of Capsule Corp..."

"The best things of my life are you, this little one and his two older siblings...I am he bringer of life for this little hero"

Vegeta knew that this will be the final heir to the saiyan throne, Bulma was hospitilised because of her age and complications with the baby.

The baby wasn't getting enouch blood supply and once he is born, either he or his mother would die.

So Bulma decided to get a hysterectomy once the baby was born, if she had survuved the hero's birth.

Suddenly, Bulma's waters broke and the baby was born, a heroic birth.

Bulma was only able to hold him for a few minutes when she suffered massive bleeding and went into sudden cardiac arrest.

Present Day

Tears streamed down Vegeta's face as he lay the roses and box of strawberries right at his dead wife's empty grave.

The baby cooed in a high pitched voice at his grieving father, he was a splitting image of his mother except for the spikey black hair he inherited from being half-saiyan.

Two Weeks Ago

The monitor had been flatlining for forty minutes as the Dcotors transfused the third bag of blood into Bulma.

She was hooked up to a ventilator and eventually the doctors gave up and called it.

"Time of Death: 14:15"

Vegeta collapsed and screamed as he realised that his wife was dead, what made it worse was that she could not be brought back because her death was of natural causes.

The baby was also screaming in Trunks' arms, his mother having sacraficed her own life to give him his.

Bulma was disconnected from the ventilator and a sheet was placed over her head.

Goku, having sensed his old friend's demise, teleported himself and found his rival in a big mess.

"Vegeta..." he muttered.

Present Day

"Vegeta, it's time..." Kuririn said from outside the doorway. "We have to say goodbye to Bulma..."

The whole reamaining Z-warriors stood outside as some of them placed Bulma's white and gold coffin onto the plot.

"I'm sorry about your loss, Vegeta" Tenshinhan spoke softly to the grieiving prince "When I lost Chaozu, I was the same as you...I give you my condolences"

"First Chichi, then Chaozu, then Yamcha and now Bulma..." sobbed Oolong as he looked at his friend's coffin. "This isn't fair."

"Bulma..." Goku said sadly.

After the funeral was over Vegeta and his newborn son were the only ones left looking down at the gravestone and freshly buried plot.

"Someday, you will be a great hero...Pants" he said sadly at his youngest son.

The baby smiled back at Vegeta.
