Jason sighed when a hand was once again put on his chest. He knew that Leo was trying to be inconspicuous, but he was very distracting.

"Dude, I'm trying to see the fireworks," he whined when a curly-haired head appeared directly above him, effectively blocking his view of the exploding lights.

Leo huffed, dropping back to the grass, and put on a displeased pout. They had only been dating for two weeks, but Leo felt this was the optimal time to finally put his Moves on the taller boy. The air was just the right temperature for them to gravitate towards each other for warmth, and the deep blue of the sky hinted at a more intimate atmosphere. The fireworks, of course, made for quite a romantic backdrop, but Leo could have done without if it meant his boyfriend would pay attention to him.

Suddenly, a mischievous grin lit up his face as an idea came to mind, and he scooted closer to Jason, planting a hand down on either side of the other boy's crossed legs. He put on a deeper voice that he hoped was seductive.

"I'll show you some damn fireworks," he said huskily, leaning closer. Jason, he noted with glee, was starting to blush quite severely.

Then, Leo abruptly pulled backwards, holding his hands up on either side of him as they lit up with flames.

"How do you like these fireworks?" He waved his hands a little, making the flames dance. "Ha! Get it? Fire-works?"

Jason was fighting to hold in a laugh, but he couldn't stop a tiny giggle from getting out. His boyfriend was still being serious, complete with a flirtatious eyebrow raise and a saucy wink.

That is the most ridiculously stupid pick-up line I've ever heard, Jason thought, shaking his head fondly. He pushed himself forwards so Leo was practically in his lap, and he slid a warm hand behind his boyfriend's neck, teasing his hair. The other boy squeaked and shivered.

"Might want to watch the temperature on those flames, babe," he breathed. "I can't take your heat."

He didn't give Leo a second to process his words before he pulled him close and kissed him.

It only lasted a few seconds, but Leo sat there, grinning dopily, long after it was over. Jason laughed at his boyfriend's expression, pulling him close so he could sit between Jason's legs.

"Damn, Sparky," Leo whispered.

Jason wrapped his arms around him in a cuddle. "You gonna watch the fireworks with me now?" he murmured into his hair.

"I've already seen them," Leo said dreamily.

And Jason laughed, kissing him again.

The fireworks were still bright behind Leo's closed lids.
