A/N: This show is actually taking over my life, and I adore everything about this couple.

The more she thinks about it, the more she becomes convinced that her brain has completely lost its ability to function normally. It keeps insisting that he is the one she likes. It won't stop insisting, and the insistence is firing neurons that make her heart race at the speed of light every time she even thinks about him.

It makes no sense. How could she like him? After fifteen years spent swooning over Gook Du, this sudden shift of her whole heart to him is too much for her to process.

She has pulled the curtain in the dumb little window he made her shut so she won't be tempted to look, but she finds herself leaning backwards in her seat to stare at him. He's talking with some investor on the phone (and in English, ugh) and everything about him looks so darn attractive that she can't focus on anything else.

She has no idea why she never noticed it before. He didn't just suddenly become this attractive when he confessed to her. He must have always looked like this, she knows, but somehow it didn't register in her brain until now. And now, she is hyper-aware. Of everything. Especially this morning, when she walked in to find him grinning at her, in a suit and tie—

Get a hold of yourself, Do Bong Soon! she chides herself. It's not like you've never seen a man in a suit and tie before!

But she might as well not have for the way she can't take her eyes off of him.

He finishes the phone call and she instantly dives back behind the curtain, pretending to be deeply absorbed in whatever is on her computer screen. "Do Bong Soon," he calls. Even his voice sounds perfect to her malfunctioning brain.

She casually slides her chair back and glances over at him as if it weren't a big deal at all, as if her heart weren't threatening to beat its way straight out of her chest. "What?" she says, proud of the evenness in her tone.

"I'm going to the library. Look through the reports on the table, and then come with me."

She nods. "Alright." She doesn't dare to look at him straight on because when she does, she can see his heart in his eyes, and it throws her right back into a whirl of confusion. First he took a knife for her (and on purpose), and then he almost kissed her, and she found herself dreaming about him, and he showed up on her doorstep in the middle of the night to tell her he has feelings for her, and she is lying through her teeth if she says she doesn't also have some feelings for him.

She stares intently at her desk as he walks past. It isn't until she hears the door shut that she lets herself watch him through the window, and her brain goes straight back to insisting that he is exactly what she has always wanted.

He knows everything that she hides from other people. He has seen her afraid and ashamed and distressed and instead of running away, he came closer. He took a step toward her. And when he tries to hide, she is the one who steps closer to him, the one who can't stand to see him suffer alone.

He is long gone by now, but she finds herself still staring after him, her brain and her heart in total agreement, and they are so insistent that she decides they must both be right.

She is head over heels for Ahn Min Hyuk.
