When the world hates you
For who you were born as?
What do you do
When the world decides
You're not a human being?
Do you love
Or do you hate?
Do you fight

Religion says you're evil
Nature says you're a mistake
Compassion is the new sin
Cruelty is the new virtue
But you take no sides
You try not to
No matter what you do
You stoke the flames anyway
Is it hopeless?
Is it all for naught?
If so
Then why fight?
What's the point then
Of feeling
Of living?
What's the point then
Of forgetting
Of dying?
Death?
Life?
What's the difference?
