Hello to all my readers, reviewers, and any new faces out there today! I know a lot of people are wondering what happened with my Halo fics, and I promise that as soon as I get some ideas they'll be up and running again. But until then, I give you a very impressive (if I might say so) piece written by a friend of mine. 'Crash' happened to show me this, and I asked if he'd be willing to let me post this as a Command and Conquer fic-I've made a few, very minimal changes but this is entirely his piece. No, it's not exactly a C&C story, but it seems to fit that particular genre very well. Here's hoping that everyone out there enjoys this piece as much as I do! Reviews will be forwarded to the original author, so no flames!

Disclaimer: I do not own C&C. Nor do I own this story-credit goes to 'Crash', I'm just posting it.

Unstoppable

The world was a battlefield. And he was alone.

Like an Earthquake he shook the ground, not hell itself could stop him. He looked up, his glare like a well aimed crosshair, it seemed as though he was not breathing as he stood that still. He never forgot, he'll always remember what it felt like, what it looked like, and what today means to him: it was time for the payback, it was time for his revenge.

The skies behind him darkened and his fists clenched, still looking with a glare that had a purpose that no mere mortal could understand: like Captain Ahab, and the Count of Monte Cristo before him, no man, beast or god would strike him down this day, maybe sometime and somewhere else.

But today is his.

He picks up the torn flag of his people, clenching it in his right hand, reminding him that he was the last of those before him, and those in front of him were they who destroyed them.

It starts to rain and lightning flashes, showing the shadow of this warrior. He raises his hand in the air, the hoards of those who wronged him in front of him...how could one man defy so many?

He was going to find out.

Or die trying.
