It was 7:00 at night, and the colours of the sunset painted the sky. Riley was outside of his house, taking out the trash. Jazmine walked towards the house.

"Hi Riley." The 10 year old beamed.

"Yeah, whatever." The eight year old sneered.

"Do you want some help?" Jazmine asked.

"Nah, I got it." He said. Jazmine walked on the lawn. She jumped up and down, and waved her arms.

Riley put the bag in the trash can. He turned around to look at Jazmine.

"Hey Jazmine, do you have epilepsy?"

"No." She said, continuing her actions.

"'Cause it looks like you have epilepsy. With all that arm flailing, and shit."

"I;m trying to get Huey's attention, silly." She said. Huey walked towards the window. He gestured for her to come inside. "Oh he's here!" Jazmine said enthusiastically. he ran to the door. Riley laughed. Jazmine turned.

"What's so funny?"

"Man, it's so obvious, I can't believe Huey can;t see it! Nigga's so smart, but he' got a blindspot!"

"What do you mean?" Jazmine asked, blushing

"Come on Jazmine, you like Huey, don't you?" Riley walked towards Jazmine.

"Yeah, I do. I never really got much exposure to boys. But when you and Huey moved in...he was just so smart, and different from everyone else. I really like him, and that feeling grew, and grew. We had to be friends! Then I started to care even more, and I fell in love."

"Love? I thought we were talking about an infatuation here."

"It was at first, but over time it became so much more. When we're together, we're so happy. We laugh so much."

"Wait a minute! Hold up!" Riley said. "Did you say Huey laughs?"

"Yeah. whenever we're together long enough. I just love our friendship. We talk, and laugh, and we spend time together."

"Now when you say 'laugh' you mean he opens his mouth and does this: hah hah hah ha."

Jazmine smiled. "Yeah, something like that."

"Danm? Where do you two go the Twilight Zone? I ain't seen this nigga laugh for the longest time."

Jazmine laughed. "It's quite beautiful."

Riley looked more serious. He looked at her. "Why do you love Huey?"

"At first I liked him for his intelligence, but it's become much more than that. So I don;t love him because of the times we have, or just his personality, even though they are both amazing. It justs feels right to love him, as if I'm meant to. I don;t just love him, I love loving him." Jazmine smiled, closing her eyes, and clasping her hands together towards her face.

Riley looked at Jazmine. She was so full of pure love. He wondered if his brother felt the same way, if he did, that would be great, but if he didn't love her back, Riley thought Jazmine would have to move on. But really, who knew? Huey was an enigma. Her love was so powerful, Riley almoat threw up.

"Thanks for listening Riley."

"Yeah, yeah. Love this, love that. Ecch." Riley fake gagged.

"I don't care what anybody says, I ain't ever gon' fall in love."

"If you say so." And Jazmine skipped up the steps.

"Jazmine."

She turned. "Yeah Riley?"

"If you two get together...try to make Huey less of a bitch."

She faced him, she knitted her eyebrows together. "Uh, I'll think about it."

Huey opened the door.

"Hi, Huey."

"Hi, Jazmine. Riley, you want to come inside?"

"Not yet."

"Okay." Jazmine stepped inside. She waved to Riley. He nodded and smiled.

Huey closed the door. Riley sat on the driveway.

"That Nigga laughing. Ha hah ha."
