Just a little moment between RIkku and Gippal, where Gippal realizes he is leaving. set before the game and before the crimson squad. thank my muse last year for this one :D

Sighing he pulled away from what he was doing to watch as the tiny blond girl ran past him in excitement. She could never sit still; it was like she learned to walk and suddenly she was always on the move but then again when wasn't he? Blinking a few times he suddenly felt something grab him around his neck and drove his body forward to the ground. Being face planted into the ground wasn't exactly how he liked to spend his time. In fact if it weren't this person that had done it he would have found a way to attack them with a machina. He was all too familiar whose arms they were though. He had memorized them just like the rest of her body.

"Gippal! How dare you! Don't you know what day it is?" she said as she stood up allowing him to do so as well. He shook the sand out of his hair and grinned at her as she gave him an annoyed glare. He loved that expression. It was like he lived for it on somedays. Smacking himself mentally he shook that thought from his mind as she kept glaring at him.

"What? Is it some kind of holiday?" he smiled as she stomped her foot a little in aggravation. He knew what day it was. He could never forget her birthday but he'd never let her know that.

"Gippal! That's not funny!" he smiled as she pushed him a little. Sticking out his tongue he watched her cross her arms and give him another glare.

"OH right, isn't it someone's birthday today? Brother's?" he was hit even harder this time but he didn't mind. Grinning at her innocently she sighed and turned away from him in mock anger. "Ok, ok how old are you turning anyway?" he asked as he ruffled her hair before walking towards his house.

"Ugh, fifteen! You should know that! Just because you're getting old doesn't mean you have the right to forget my birthday!" she said as she followed him. Stopping he turned to look at her this time with his own glare.

"Twenty-two ISN'T old" ugh he hated being called old. He wasn't old; hell he would never be. Not if he could help it.

"Well you're older then me! So you're old! Besides it doesn't matter. What matters is that you come to the party pops is throwing for me!" she smiled at him charmingly making it hard to refuse. He couldn't refuse any request of hers and sometimes he was sure she knew it too.

"Fine. See you tonight" with a wave he watched her smile and nod before running off. Damn what did he get himself into. Looking at the letter on his table he sighed. Crimson Squad was written neatly on the front.
