"Dean, can you come here for a second?" Sam asks his older brother from across the cheap motel room.
"What?" Dean mumbles, slowly walking to the bed that his younger brother was lying on.
"Look at this," Sam says, turning his laptop so Dead could see the screen.
"What am I looking at?" Dean asks, bored.
"Right here." Sam points to a photograph that is almost completely black. "Watch." The photo lightens up and there is a figure that is shaped like a cat.
"Okay, it's a picture of a cat. What about it?" Dean asks, slumping onto the bed.
"Well, for starters, this photo was taken from across the street at four in the morning," Sam explains.
"So it's a big cat," Dean jokes.
"Dean, look at the arms and legs."
Squinting his eyes to look more closely, Dean sees that the back legs are bent back like human legs to crawl, and the arms appear slick, without hair.
"I see it." Deal smiles. "So, we're on the trail of a slut? I'm game."
Sam almost dies, not from laughter, but from disappointment.
"Dean! Don't you remember what Dad said?" Sam asks.
"About what? Sluts or cats?" Dean wonders aloud, confused.
"No, about Nekos." Sam smacks his hand across his face in frustration.
"What the hell is a Neko?"
"A Neko is a cat demon who is probably the only kind that isn't against us," Sam explains.
"So?"
"This Neko is stirring up trouble by killing and mutilating animals."
"Oh," Dean smirks. "Interesting."
"You up for it?"
"Of course, Sammy. This'll be fun." Dean grins like a kid in a candy store.
"Great. Let's go to Washington."
"Wait, Washington? We're in Florida…" Dean's face darkens. "Do we have to take a plane?"
"If you want to cut the travel time by about three days, yes."
"Fine…" Dean whines.
