A/N: So I took a walk outside in Colorado, snatched up my little notepad, and came up with this short little poem. It originally was meant to be a tribute to winter/snow....but it kinda evolved into a Mudshipping poem (from Mia to Isaac)... Oh well. I might add a little fuzzy story to go with it sometime, since it did turn out this way...

Enjoy!

I write as I walk,

Too happy to care,

My thoughts are aflutter,

Of the words I can share,

With you.

Bereft, alone, I stand in the snow,

From behind my cloak I watch it fall,

Decorating the sky with its crystalline glow,

It plays with my hair,

Stings at my cheeks,

As I walk down this path,

Thinking of you.

Dusk fast approaches,

Bringing an immense deep blue,

It highlights the snow,

White flakes absorbing the hue,

A smile floats across my face,

As I walk down this path,

Thinking of you.

Swirling currents knock me over,

Landing me in another dune,

Yet they do me no true harm,

Rather giving me a large boon,

More things to write about,

As I walk down this path,

Thinking of you.

Snow is fair,

It cleanses the earth,

Destroying foul air,

Each shard giving birth,

To another smile,

As I walk down this path,

Thinking of you.

I wish you were here,

For this breathtaking sight,

To see morning snow,

Ice glinting in light,

My heart skips with joy,

As I walk down this path,

Thinking of you.

It crumbles in my hands,

A powder so fine,

Sparkling beneath me,

With a cold winter shine,

Whiteness unending,

As I walk down this path,

Thinking of you.

Desolate, arid and white,

The landscape brims with glory,

I think while I walk,

I see what I see,

And hope to tell this story,

As I walk down this path,

Thinking of you.

Winter has ended, Spring just begun,

The sun is out, the season now over,

The ice has melted, there is no more snow,

Yet there is still more to this world;

We can still watch the flowers grow.

Together.

Mia
