I'm up at 5am so why not another one shot?

I DO NOT OWN NARUTO

Ten years

A ship stopped a few good five feet away from the shore. The captain hopped down and slowly walked to shore as the water weighed him down.

Upon reaching land, he looked around as if looking for something. "Ah… Sasuke…you came." A voice, thick with Jamaican accent, said from the trees.

If he had a heart, he was positive that if would be beating fast at the sound of her voice. "It's been ten years, Hinata." Hinata flashed him a smile and

walked out from behind a tree. "Ah, so it has." In his eyes, Hinata has not changed. Though she is stuck in this human form, he still finds her the most

beautiful life form. When Sasuke first set to sea on his father's ship, he instantly fell in love with it. Hiashi's daughter, Hinata, ruled the seven seas.

Though she was only half mortal, she was loved. She and Sasuke met by chance one day and it was love at first sight. She gave him the job of collecting

lost souls that died at sea and taking them to the ferries of the underworld. If he can complete that, then he would be able to set foot on dry land every

ten years and if he was to complete it he would be free of the seven seas to live his life with her. But because of the unpredictions of Hinata's fickle

ways, Sasuke got angry. He, along with other sailors, vowed to take the sea away from Hinata. They tricked her and bound her to the body of a

mortal. Sasuke, overcome with grief and regret, ripped out his own heart and locked it away. After that he became cold and feared. Legend says that if you

find his heart, he'll do your bidding, but because Sasuke always has his heart with him in a box, people never knew if the legend was true. Hinata had a

heart of gold and instantly forgiven him but because a thief stole the items that could free her, she has been stuck on land, longing for the sea to

take her. Sasuke comes every ten years as the deal entailed. They sat by the sea and stared at his ship. "Hinata, I'm so sorry I did this to you but

I was so angry." Hinata nodded. "It's fine. I'm sure my sister is doing a job better than I did." Sasuke met Hanabi once. She was a product of Hiashi's

second marriage. A full-blooded sea goddess. She instantly didn't like him because of what he did to her older sister. Sasuke took her hands in his

and watched as the sun slowly started to descend. Hinata felt a pain in her chest and grabbed her heart. It was almost time for them to say goodbye.

She felt tears starting to cloud her eyes. "Sasuke, it's almost time for you to go." The pain in her eyes were so unbearable but he had to live with what

he did. "I vow to set you free from this land Hinata…I swear." She smiled at him and with tears in her eyes, she touched his cheek. "I'll wait hundreds of

years for you to do so." With one last kiss, he slowly walked back to his ship. Hinata sadly waved and sunk back into the trees of her demise.
