A Cold Stone
"Two years, has it really been that long since that day? It seems like forever ago, and yet it seems like just yesterday. Of course, I guess my world stopped turning on that day, time seems to have no meaning for me anymore. Luke, though it is impossible, I wish I was able to see you again, just once more. You know, this tombstone barely does you justice." The man reached out and touched the cold stone It reads: Here lies Luke fon Fabore, hero, son, and friend. May he rest in peace. "You were so much more than just that. Anyone who knew you changed, and for the better. Sure you could really get under a person's skin at times." He laughed. "I should know, being your best friend and all. That's another thing, you were the best of friends to everyone, more than I could have ever asked for. You were always putting people before yourself, so compassionate and considerate. But most of all, you were you." A tear slipped down the young blonde's but he quickly wiped it away. "Hey you know what Luke, Tear taught me that Fonic hymn that she always sings. She told me to sing it for you, that you would like it. Sorry if it sounds bad, heh I'm not exactly a singer." He began the song.
Tue rei ze croa riou tue ze, Croa riou ze tue rei neu….
"He couldn't finish the song as he burst into tears. "I miss you so much Luke, life's just not the same without you, serving you as your servant were the happiest days of my life. My life feels void without you. Such a fool I am," He laughed bitterly. "I told myself I wouldn't break down like this, I guess I'm not as strong as I had hoped, I can't seem to move on, at least where it doesn't hurt as bad like everyone else has." The young man put his head in his hands. "You were still so young. Even though you looked eighteen, you had only really lived for seven years. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you like you protected the world."
"Guy…" The man jumped at the all to familiar voice. "Thank you…" A small sad smile positioned itself upon Guys face.
"You're welcome Luke. I have to go now, your uncle, the king is waiting for me." He placed flowers in front of the stone. "Happy birthday Luke."
