True Blue

Her life was in danger and she was leaking energon fast.

Barking orders, she was set on the medical table, equipment and bandages ready to be assembled. Her life was slipping… and he wasn't going to let her fade away. She seemed so tiny… so dainty. One swift breeze of power, and her life would be extinguished.

He wasn't going to let that happen. He was the medic, and he was going to save her.

Sweat dripped in waterfalls from his forehead as he went through the procedure. No… One tiny mistake, and he might as well have killed her. He loved her, hoped that she knew ever since they were together… He was better at breaking things than fixing things, but with her he could rebuild anything.

And he needed her.

Self pity and remorse aside, his strength doubled, and he continued to work on fixing his beloved's wounds. A hum from the monitor indicated her vitals were stabilizing… He did it. He saved the day. He saved the one he loved… This was going to be a restful night tonight.

An hour or so after he fixed her up, her optics slowly started to wake… She was conscious! He ran to her side and lightly embraced her, careful not to jump on any wounds. Her mouth slowly began to speak, but it seemed that it was harder getting out the words than usual. It seemed she still was in pain.

"Shush, don't speak…! You need rest… Go back to sleep. Doctor's orders."

A soft smile drew across her lips, which made her optics gleam so much brighter. They were such a pretty blue, his favourite type of blue…

She couldn't speak, but her optics seemed to talk in volumes. They seemed to say... "I love you".
