Edward

Ever noticed how beautiful the sky actually is when the sun is setting? When sometimes it goes that pinky-purple colour, streaking the sky like paint to a canvas? The cold breeze whipped past me gently, blowing my hair and the clothes adorning my body somewhat. I sighed as only the sound of my own breathing could be heard. I closed my eyes, relishing the moment of peace and tranquillity that surrounded, that never seemed to ever last long enough to absorb it.

Edward, you okay?

I groaned quietly

"Just peachy." I mumbled

"You've been out here for a while…"

"Can't I admire something?!" I bit back. He seemed offended at the tone I used at him, I instantly regretted it. "Sorry, Jasper… I didn't mean it how it seemed to have come out"

Do you want to talk about it?

"No." I replied his thoughts again.

"Care if I join you then?"

"Go ahead buddy…" I sighed, not having opened my eyes once. After all, I could see myself through Jasper's thoughts, seeing how he could interpret the situation.

Your tense and your emotions are rather overwhelming

"My apologies Jasper. I can't control how I feel right now, and don't you start calming me down or whatever, because I'll be angrier than I am now." I stated sternly, gritting my teeth as he'd already started to use his own ability against my emotions. The small amount of calm and relief I'd felt moments ago vanished after the words left my mouth.

I'm sorry Edward, I had no intention on irritating you. Using my ability is more like a reflex.

Jasper's thoughts seemed to be irritated now, as all he was feeling was my emotions. I deeply sighed.

You know I'm always here for you, right?

He just wasn't going to stop, was he?

My eyes shot open, exasperation seeming to be the only emotion I was capable of right now.

Jasper was lying next to be on the short cut grass of the meadow where I came when I needed time to think things over.

I sat up, my eyes wider than normal. Jasper must have felt my emotions change suddenly, as he also opened his eyes. He sat up facing me.

"Why did you come here Jasper? Is it to spite me? As if you don't already know what the situation is!" my voice raised as my speech went on "you know something? I don't even know how it happened! Why did it have to be me? Why did I have to be the one to be put through this yet again? As if I already hadn't been through it once!-"

Shock, surprise, – whatever you want to call it – I felt it all then.
