Authors Note: Um Yeah. I'm bored and feel like writing oh and Sins of our Fathers is on hiatus cuz I think it sucks.

Ships: Onesided Brooke/Nathan mentions of Nathan/Haley

Disclaimer: If I owned One Tree Hill it would still be One Tree Hill not One Tree Pucas

Brooke plays with empty can of Dr. Pepper. She doesn't even like Dr. Pepper. She used to think it was stupid that they'd name a pop after a spicy vegetable.

She sits down next to Skills. She doesn't like Skills that much. She used to think it was stupid to name or even just nickname someone Skills.

All Nathan can do is think of is how he wished he could have stopped it.

He still stuck in the past, back when they were friends. Back when he was secretly in love with her. Now he just secretly hung up on an old crush.

He feels like he should be on some lame soap opera. Brooke always had a thing for Seth Cohen and just about every other boy on the O.C. so he wouldn't mind being part of that cast.

He looks at Brooke, watches how the sun hits her hair even though it was almost dark out. He suddenly wishes they didn't lose touch after Lucas and Haley came into the picture.

Haley, his wife, he now feels guilty. He quickly looks over at her and smiles. He can't help but notice how the sun doesn't hit her hair like it hits Brooke's.

His thoughts go back to Brooke, the beautiful brunette he's known all his life.

She was sweet and cute when he first met her. Then again she was also only four years old. Her hair was in pigtails and she was wearing a light pink dress and many matching accessories.

It was inevitable she would become popular, him too. They'd gossip, backstab, and ruin people's lives but still manage to stay loyal to each other.

It wasn't until 5th grade he realized he was in love with her. She may have been a bitch, but she was a beautiful bitch.

When middle school started they lost touch and he found himself dating Peyton, her best friend. He'd never forget the look of betrayal in her eyes.

Later when they were brought back together as a group of five they didn't acknowledge they used to be friends. It didn't stop him from pining for her.

He got married that year even though he was still pining for his childhood best friend.

Haley was great, she really was but she wasn't his Brooke. And he did love Haley just not in the same way.

They were all back in town now. Each one of them had grown up. They had all changed. Brooke now liked Dr. Pepper.

It wasn't until an hour later when Skills was talking about how wasted Brooke got from the spiked Dr. Pepper that he realizes nothing had really changed.

After all he was still in love with his childhood sweet heart.
