Sometimes she stimulated, sometimes she stirred it, so soured his spirits, suddenly stormy - spiteful siren! Sometimes seething in sarcastic spite. Sherlock stayed strong - survived somehow - scathed but sustained.
He struggled with such simpering speculation, selectively softhearted, saccharine sentimentality ...
Then sometimes splenetic Sherlock surfaced suddenly.
