One More Taste of You

Terra felt cold every time he saw his father in his hospital bed, pale and weak. He told Terra to always be strong for he knew; soon he was going to pass away. Terra wanted to shout and tell him to stop saying he was going to die, but he had tears in his eyes that he needed to prevent from flowing, too. He was, in fact, very strong already, but for his father, he wanted to be a lot stronger. He thought he should show his father that all his hard work has actually bore an amazing fruit. But how?
He had to grant his only final wish.
Terra thought his father was going nuts, because why, among the entire range of wishes you can have before you die, did he long to see Terra get married? Okay, apparently, he is. But he kept this thought in the back of his mind.
"Are you sure?" Terra once asked, startled.
"Of course I am," Eraqus replied weakly. "I want to see you take the hand of the wonderful maiden you choose to be your bride. Whoever it is, I'm certain she is lovely." He smiled.
Terra laughed. "You've gotta be kidding me. I don't even have a girlfriend! You know how horrible I am when it comes to girls."
"Tsk, tsk. No, I don't think so. Please, Terra, do it for me."
The boy shrugged. "I don't know. Seriously, it's a bad idea."
Eraqus suddenly paused and coughed constantly. Terra started to panic as he heard his father wheeze and breathe in pain. He called for a doctor who immediately entered their room. He gave Eraqus his nebulizer, but he continued to cough and rasp.
Terra shook his head. "Okay, fine, Dad! It's your wish!"
His father's coughing stopped. "Really? That's great, then!"
Terra rolled his eyes. I can't believe this.

Oniksu says: Am I actually writing Terra/Aqua? (dies) I thought I ship Ven/Aqua! Well, anyway, I've been obsessed with these two pairings lately (Oh please. No. Aqua/Zack? Zack's for Aerith.). This was inspired by some random TV show I watched, where the father expresses his wish to see his daughter get married, blah blah. I know this is pretty cliché, but I thought I might give it a shot. Enjoy. :D
