"So, I've been meaning to ask . . ." Rick started, leaning ove Kate Beckett's desk, eyebrows raised.
"Meaning to ask what?" Kate asked, almost suspiciously. Castle had never really been one to start a sentence and not finish it.
"Well, you're not allowed to slap me-"
Here Kate just had to interrupt. Using her sweetest voice she asked, "Why would I slap you when I have a gun and can just shoot you?"
"You are not allowed to physicially harm me in any way." Rick decided, pleased with his changes.
"Am I allowed to mentally torture you, lead your mind down twisted paths and dead ends?" Kate asked, still playing innocent.
"No." Rick answered slowly, feeling like he was talking to a five year old.
"What about emotionally? Am I allowed to toy with your emotions until you don't know which way your own head is and then leave you lying in the street?" Kate asked, feeling a surge of pleasure as the big bad author looked geniunly scared of her threats.
"No. Back to my question."
"Ahh, yes, the question. What do you want to ask me?" Kate wondered, interested.
"Where did you hide the badge?" Rick cringed, hoping he would leave the building unscathed.
"Somewhere you'll never see." Kate answered simply.
Hehe. I was writing Juliet, when this one attacked. I don't own Castle. Review please.
