"AAAAAAAAAH!" Rachel gasped. A giggle came from the doorway.
"Oh mommy, you know I love it when you scream. Makes me feel scary." A wide grin took hold of Sumara's stiff, dead face.
"Honey! What happened to your nose?" The blonde woman wondered.
"Oh. It fell off a while ago… when I was walking to school. I almost reached down to grab it, but a car ran over it." Sumara shrugged.
"It's just… you look a little bit like… Michael Jackson." Rachel fidgeted, trying not to see the horrifying man in her adopted daughter's sweet face.
"What?! Now I know why no one talked to me today!" Sumara cried, frantic with distress. "Oh please get me a fake one! I can't look like him!"
"Of course, sweetie!"
a few hours later
"Well now that that's covered, I have a 3:30 appointment at your father's boss' daughter's husband's brother's son's friend's house."
"Now honey, it's a little late tonight."
"But… mom! It's been seven days!" The little dead girl pouted.
"Oh, alright. Have fun. Scare the crap out of them for me!" Rachel waved by the door, admiring her beautiful daughter skipping down the driveway.
"Hey Beautiful." Noah came out from the bedroom. The way his dead, decaying face jiggled when he walked really made Rachel's heart flutter. "I believe it is time I took Sumara home. I'll go get her. Where is she at?"
"Um, my father's boss' daughter's husband's brother's son's friend's house. I think You might want to check."
"Alright babe, be right back." He leaned in for a kiss and pecked her on the cheek. In the process, he hit his head on the hallway mirror, and one of his eyeballs fell out. He picked it up, and popped it back into the socket. Winking, he disappeared into the mist. Rachel heard the car starting, and went back to her bedroom. She loved her family.
