Summary- He could have stared at her grave for all eternity, sitting, remembering, regretting. He wanted to be the first grave beside hers though. The first name after hers on that monument.
Disclaimer- I don't own Naruto or his buddies. Nor do I own the song, Hello by Evanescense.

He hated this feeling. A feeling of pure sadness that he hadn't experienced since Jaraiya died last year. Being sad had just never been his thing, but at this point, people couldn't have agreed more.
It wasn't his job to be sad.
Until she died. And now he sat here, remembering all the good, bad, and painful things she had either done to him or they had done together.
Playground school bell rings again
"Hey! Sakura-chan! Wanna go on a date!?" His obnoxious voice cut through the girlish chatter of the fangirls, watching as the pink haired girl blushed a shade of deep red when snickers arose from the others females.
"No, you idiot!" Her screech cut at him deeply, "I wanna go out with Sasuke-kun, not you!"
Rain clouds come to play again
He sighed. He couldn't believe it when his teammate had finally agreed to his many requests that he had been handing her for years.
She had hated him back then, but when she died it was different. She had taken a blow he would have received and that hurt him. She could have saved him, but instead chose to die over both of them living. So it was his honor to take a near suicidal mission from Tsunade's shaky hands. It depressed him to know she would be one of the few that would miss him and she didn't know this was her last chance to speak to him while he was alive.
Has no one told you she's not breathing?
"I'm sorry, Naruto. She's gone."
Hello I'm your mind giving you someone to talk to
hello
Naruto rubbed his hands together in dismay, saddened for the fact he was leaving his friends and taking his sister with him accidentally. The same sister that had been begging him for the past hour to rethink his actions and turn back.
But he couldn't.
If I smile and don't believe
"Don't you worry about a thing, Sakura-chan!" Naruto yelled, flashing his teammate a thumbs-up, "I'll bring him back for sure!"
'I can't though…'
Soon I know I'll wake from this dream
He didn't remember how many times in the last week he had prayed for this all to be a dream, for him to wake up and see her at the bridge like he used to. He never prayed, but Sakura had been special.
Don't try to fix me I'm not broken
hello I'm the lie living for you so you can hide
don't cry
"Y-You're lying. S-Sakura-chan can't be dead!" He lurched out, trying to nab the doctor by his throat, only to be pulled back by Kiba and Neji, the two unlucky bystanders of Naruto's soon-to-be breakdown. "S-She promised me, Neji…"
"I know Naruto."
"S-She promised that she would come back…"
Suddenly I know I'm not sleeping
"Don't worry, Sakura-chan. We'll meet up in heaven," Naruto smiled a sad smile, long out of sight of Konoha, "And Sasuke will be there. You'll see." He glanced up at the sky, smiling with that abnormal melancholy glint of his.
Hello I'm still here
"N-Naruto-kun… I'm so sorry for your loss…" Hinata's words were slow, knowing the already-touchy subject. Even touching tongues with Sakura's death could end up badly. "B-But remember! You still have to become hokage! Please! Try your best!"
"Yea… S-Sure…."
All that's left of yesterday
He could have stared at her grave for all eternity, sitting, remembering, regretting. He wanted to be the first grave beside hers though. The first name after hers on that monument.
