Cosette had always wondered what her mother was like, was she sweet and kind like she hoped she would be or was she mean and cruel like the Thenardiers. Cosette had only seen her once in her young life, and that was the day her mother dropped her off in the hell she was in. Madame Thenardier was always saying how her mother short amounts of money and that they the same, scum on the street. Cosette only wanted to know if her mother loved her as much as she loved her. But she couldn't now for her new Papa had told her that she had died and was with the angels, Cosette was saddened by the thought of her mother gone. For their were so many things she wanted to know. She then Immediately realized she could ask, her Papa! for he surely most know well enough to tell what she was like. Cosette Hopped off her bed and walked to her Papa's room. She gently opened the door, her father looked up from the paper's he was reading and had a concerned look on his face.
"Cosette, my dear child what is wrong? Cosette walked up to him and asked bluntly, "papa, what was my Mama like? Valjean thought to himself for a second for what could he tell the nine year old who wanted to know about her mother who he himself only knew for a day. Valjean smiled at Cosette and replied, " My dear child, I had only know your mother for a day, but I can tell you this. She loved you very much and wanted the best for you., she was kind,sweet and loving." But then why did she send me to the Thenardiers for they were cruel to me!" Cosette asked with a hint of anger. Valjean croched down next to her and said, " For she didn't know the cruelity that they did to you, and now your mother will always be with you in your heart. I can tell you this with ceartinty Cosette I will never leave you." Little did they know that Fantine herself was watching them in heaven smiling knowing that her beloved Daughter would now be safe.
