I have a totally damn soft spot for John/Molly. The fics I've read so far are friendship-y. I mean, that's fine…but I. WANT. FLUFF. :( If there's any Jolly shippers out there, 1. I hope I did justice to the pairing with this one-shot, 2. I HOPE IT'S CONSIDERED AS FLUFF! :) :DDD
"John, may I see your scar again?" Molly asked him shyly.
He faced her, slightly amused, very curious. "Why do you want to see it again? You like it that much?"
"Uh, no…" she glanced down to her hands resting on her lap, red spots slowly appearing on her cheeks. "It's because…uh, maybe…yeah. Maybe I like it?" she looked at him, still blushing but feeling a little more confident.
He chuckled before he rolled up his jumper sleeve to expose a stiched-up scar that ran from his biceps to elbow. She stared at it in wonder before her fingertips went up to follow its trail.
They were sitting on a bench in the beach, facing the sea and the sunset. They were there because it was their first date.
"Really, why do you like it?" John asked, voice low and husky as he watched Molly gently move her fingertips down the scar.
"It just tells me a little more about you," she replied softly, eyes trained on his years-old scar.
He shuffled closer to her, more curious than ever, which made his voice unconsciously more huskier. "And what does it tells you?"
"That you're tough during your army days." Her eyes widen and she looked up to him, feeling embarrassed. "Oh god, that's- that's a very elementary reason isn't it?"
He gave her a huge grin, truly happy about what she had blurted out. Molly may be an awkward social, but she is definitely an honest woman.
"Nah, it's not," he rolled down his sleeve, not taking his eyes off the beauty beside him.
"J-just so you know…" Molly looked at her hands once more, very shy about what she was about to say, "I l-like tough guys…"
John took her chin between his thumb and forefinger and turned her head so that she faced him. His thumb traced her lower lip and before he leaned down to capture her lips, he murmured, "And I like you."
