BAM

Pein didn't bother looking up from his work; only one team was due back today, so it had to be Kakuzu and Hidan. He sighed as he finished his report, before looking up. "I expect a repo-DEAR GOD, WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM?!"

Kakuzu was standing in the doorway, with Hidan draped over one arm and the Jashinist's scythe in the other. "He got tired and fell asleep on the way home."

"Then why didn't you wake him up?!"

"I tried. Didn't help." To prove his point, the banker dropped his partner onto the floor, grabbed him by the ankle, and slammed him against the wall. Hidan merely groaned in his sleep. "See? He'd sleep through an assault on the base right now." Pein shook his head. "Just get him to bed. I expect a report from you tomorrow, understood?"

"Yes sir." Kakuzu slung his partner back over his shoulder and left the room, walking down the hallway. The base wasn't half bad when everyone else was out on missions. He stopped outside their room and opened the door, flipping on the lights as he walked in. He walked over to their shared bed and set Hidan down, leaning the zealot's scythe against a nearby wall, before undressing. "Now to do that report."

"'Kuzu……" the banker turned and saw his partner sit up, rubbing his eyes. "Jashin dammit, where am I? And why does my head hurt like hell?"

"Our room. Now go back to sleep; I have to fill out a report." Hidan shook his head and climbed out of the bed, stumbling as he did so. "Dammit, Kakuzu, you need sleep more than me. Come to bed, dumbass."

"If I do that, this report won't get done."

"The hell it won't. You get up at the Jashin damned crack of dawn every day, so you can do it then. Now come to bed, asshole." Kakuzu allowed Hidan to grab his arm and pull him to their bed. He secretly was dying to get some sleep, but didn't want to let it show. "Hidan…"

"Shut up." Kakuzu crawled into bed, lying down on his back as Hidan crawled on top of him. "There's no way in hell I'm letting you get back up once I'm out, dumbass." Kakuzu had to give the little zealot credit; he knew how the banker thought.

Hidan smiled triumphantly as he felt the banker's arms slip around his waist. "Hey, 'Kuzu?" he asked, voice slightly slurred by his sleepiness.

"Yeah?"

"Why the hell does my head hurt?"

"No reason."

"That's bs." Hidan sat up, staring down at his lover. "Why the hell do I get the distinct feeling you did something to me while I was out?"

"I may have dropped you once or twice on the way back-" the miser hissed as Hidan bit one of the threads on his chest and pulled back. "Wanna try that again, dumbass?" Hidan asked, teeth still clenched on the thread.

"I slammed you into a wall to prove you were asleep, ok?" Hidan released him and lay back down, eyes drifting shut. "Dumbass?"

"What?"

"Next time you do something like that, make sure I'm awake to feel it."
