It's hard to settle in at Julliard, especially when it isn't what Mike had ever imagined for himself. If not for Tina, he might be going to school to be a doctor. Not anymore, though. And Mike is happy. Really, he is.
He just misses everyone. He never imagined missing everyone this much.
There are guys here who are amazing at what they do. Guys who make Mike feel like maybe his father knew what he was talking about, when he tried to talk Mike into a different career path. But Mike takes a deep breath.
The fact is, he is here. And since he's here, he might as well dance. He might as well do what he came to do. It's just hard going from a school where he was always the best, to a place where he is just another face.
He looks at Tina's picture, and then puts his phone away, determined to make today count.
