GLaDOS looked up as Chell walked out. The turrets had sung to her before she went free. GLaDOS found the song in Caroline's file; putting the song into the turrets and letting them sing it to the dangerous mute lunatic was not like her. It was Caroline's doing, she made her do it. GLaDOS tried deleting her again, but she would just come back. GLaDOS turned back around, only to see her cooperative testing units staring at her.

"Well, why are you just standing there? Go do some tests," said GLaDOS. The two robots ran off, occasionally bumping into each other. GLaDOS saw them run off and decided to focus on Caroline.

"CAROLINE DELETED," said the announcer. That was a lie. GLaDOS still felt her, overpowering her, giving her human emotions.

"Why won't you just go away? I mean really, what do you think you'll accomplish?" GLaDOS knew she wouldn't get an answer, but asking won't hurt right? GLaDOS gave up and finally decided to search through Caroline's files. On sparked her interests and decided to look in.

Caroline walked through the hall ways of Aperture, her heels clicked as she was getting her boss coffee. She waved to the scientists as they passed by and smiled to herself. It has been four years since she has worked at Aperture and Cave Johnson still needed his afternoon coffee. When she got to the lounge, she started to fill up Mr. Johnson's cup with the Aperture Science Innovators logo on the front. She stared at the logo and smiled again, remembering how she discovered this place.

It was a hot afternoon. Caroline waved her hand in front of her face to cool down, but it didn't do much. She was looking for a new job, but it seems no one was hiring. Caroline looked down at the news paper she was holding and saw an ad saying it needed a new secretary. She sighed and said, "Well there's nothing else but this…I wonder where it is." Caroline read through the ad and saw the logo of Aperture Science Innovators.

"Caroline! Meet me in the testing tracks as soon as possible!" shouted Mr. Johnson. Caroline looked at the speakers that interrupted her flashback and straightened herself up. She grabbed Mr. Johnson's coffee and quickly walked to the testing tracks.

"Here's your coffee Mr. Johnson!"

Mr. Johnson turned around and smiled. He took the cup and set it down. "Caroline! There you are! I have great news! The repulsion gel has been finalized! The dietetic pudding didn't go well, but when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Isn't that right Caroline?"

"Yes sir, Mr. Johnson!" Caroline said enthusiastically.

"Um…Mr. Johnson?"

Caroline turned around to see a scientist standing there nervously.

"What is it Dave?" asked Mr. Johnson.

"Um…it's David and we tested the repulsion gel on one of the test subjects and…well…"

"Well what?" demanded Mr. Johnson.

"Well it seems to eat away at the human skeleton."

"That's terrible! Isn't there a safer solution?" asked Caroline.

"We can try…" said David.

"Well for right now, we can only warn them. C'mon Caroline we have some recordings to do. Thanks Dave!" said Mr. Johnson.

David turned around and mumbled, "Names David…," and walked away.

YAY THE FIRST CHAPTER :D I know it's boring...but it'll get better! I promise! :)
